Anesthesia Technology Department Students Participate in the Second Iraqi Anesthesia Conference
On Friday, October 9, 2026, a delegation of students and faculty members from the Department of Anesthesia Technology at Cihan University–Erbil participated in the Second Iraqi Anesthesia Conference (IAC), held in Baghdad under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohsen Hamid Al-Ghazi. The conference was organized under the auspices of the Iraqi Syndicate of Health Professions and the NERDGENIC Academy.
The opening ceremony brought together representatives from anesthesia technology and intensive care departments at public and private universities across Iraq, as well as students and alumni. The opening addresses highlighted ongoing efforts to advance the academic and technical standards of healthcare professionals in general and anesthesia technicians in particular.
The conference featured a wide range of educational and scientific sessions delivered by prominent anesthesia specialists and academics from across Iraq. The programme included scientific lectures, interactive workshops, panel discussions, and a medical exhibition covering various fields within anesthesia sciences.
The participation of the Cihan University–Erbil delegation highlighted the importance of engaging in scientific conferences to strengthen academic networks, facilitate the exchange of expertise among specialists, and promote mutual learning.
On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation held several meetings with representatives of relevant institutions. These meetings reaffirmed the Department of Anesthesia Technology’s commitment to expanding scientific collaboration with educational and healthcare institutions to enhance the professional competencies of both students and faculty members.
