A delegation of University of Technology-Iraq visits Cihan University-Erbil
In consideration of helping the University of Technology run an Cyber Security Camp in Kurdistan Region, the University deeply appreciated Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, the president of Cihan University-Erbil.
On Sunday, 12 February 2023, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, the president of Cihan University-Erbil, received a delegation of the University of Technology, Iraq led by Dr. Oday Ali Ahmed, alongside another delegation from Firewall Company for Cybersecurity Solutions. The delegates visited the president of Cihan University-Erbil on the sidelines of the University’s Cyber Security Camp closing ceremony.
In a meeting, the president of Cihan University-Erbil after welcoming the delegated guests, provided them with an overall summary of the Cihan University-Erbil. He also talked about how the university has developed in terms of quality and quantity, especially in the field of electronic education, and how the University has taken the essential steps to executing digital transformation. Then, both sides discussed the development of mechanisms for signing an academic and scientific research Cooperation Agreement between Cihan University-Erbil and the University of Technology-Iraq.
In another part of the meeting, the participants discussed on how to conduct the activities of the University of Technology’s Cyber Security Camp in the Kurdistan Region, and in this regard the visiting delegation offered their special thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, for providing assistance and facilitating their work in the Kurdistan Region.
In the past few days, the University of Technology-Iraq, in collaboration with the Firewall Company for CyberSecurity Solutions and with Cihan University-Erbil in Erbil and Duhok provinces, has organized a training course for Information Security and more than 70 students of the University from different stages participated in the course. The last day of the camp was held at the Conference Hall of Cihan University-Erbil, where the Certificate of Completion was awarded to students.
