A Scientific Trip by the Dentistry Department Students of Cihan University-Erbil to the Modern Dental Care Center
The College of Dentistry of Cihan University – Erbil organized a scientific trip involving its second-stage students on 23rd November 2023. It was a trip to the Modern Dental Care Center in Erbil City, Kurdistan under the supervision of Dr. Tara Kamal and Dr. Asila Khalid. It was an educational and enlightening experience for the students, aiming to provide them with an opportunity to learn about dental health and various procedures, including advanced technologies used in dentistry.
The aforementioned center is one of the most professional private dental centers where various dental cases have been diagnosed and treated by its specialists and consultant dentists. It has different sections, namely oral surgery, radiology, conservative, sterilization, periodontics, and pedodontics. The students were welcomed by Dr. Layla Gardy and enjoyed listening to a brief description of each section provided by the specialist dentists of the center. They were able to ask questions and engage in discussions with the dentists and dental hygienists, gaining valuable insights into the importance of oral hygiene and its impact on overall health. This trip not only broadened the students’ knowledge in the field of dentistry but also inspired them to take better care of their own oral health.
At the end of the trip, the students expressed their excitement for participating in such an activity.
