The department of computer science had held a seminar on 20/5/2015 in Lab 117 entitled Design and Implementation Anti-Theft System for Vehicles by using GSM Network by Assist. Lecturer Omar Talal with attendance of computer science staff.

Abstract of the seminar

In our life transportation is very important. A lot of thefts occur on the road every day. Therefore we need to develop security and monitoring system to our vehicle. This system consists of two units one is transmitting side (vehicle unit) and other one is receive side (Mobile phone). Transmitting unit include some important hardware components, GPS module is popularly used for navigation positioning. GPS antenna receives the location values from the satellites. GSM modem is used for transmitting and receiving the data. Micro-controller is a brain of the system. In this system used Arduino mega 2560 and RFID module use for security issue.
