A Student from Cihan University-Erbil Participates in the Preparatory Committee for a Conference on ‘Climate Change’

The Scientific Department of the Ministry of Sports and Youth in the Iraqi government is preparing to hold a conference on climate change. Hajar Kanaan, a student from the Department of Physiotherapy at Cihan University-Erbil, joined the conference organizing committee.

For this purpose, in recent days, the conference organizing committee held a Preparatory Workshop, in which the conference topics on climate change and environmental change were discussed. This workshop is scheduled to be held by the Ministry of Sports and Youth under the auspices of UNICEF. In-depth discussions on environmental issues and challenges facing public health as a result of climate change will be a great opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with experts and other participants.

Every year, a large number of students participate in various scientific conferences in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. Their participation will be an important experience for their future work. Also, Cihan University-Erbil student’s participation is another example of the encouragement and support that Cihan University-Erbil provides to its students to enhance their scientific abilities.
