A Visit to Al Safi Danon Factory by the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics
On 22 February 2022, the Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics visited the Al Safi Danon factory involving the second and third-year students under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Omar Swar, Dr. Ameen, and Miss Yusra. The objective of the visit was to get the students to know about dairy products that are made in the factory.
Upon arriving at Al Safi Danon factory, Dr. Sarah Omar Swar, Dr. Ameen, Miss Yusra, and the students were warmly welcomed by the factory staff. The students were introduced to the factory branches and their history during the visit. The students were also briefed about collaboration between France and Erbil, Iraq dairy products safety and health purposes. The visit was useful, as it provided the students with various information related to dairy products brands such as; Activia yogurt, Full-Cream, and Low-Fat Cream.
The visit was also valuable, as it gave the students the opportunity to experience theoretical studies and experience working in a factory after graduation. At the end of the visit, Dr. Sarah Omar Swar, Dr. Ameen, and Miss Yusra thanked the factory staff for their support and initiatives presented to the second and third-year students.
