Cihan University-Erbil presented 58 outstanding research projects from the Fourth stage students at its 6th Scientific Conference
The final stage students’ studies were presented on Tuesday and Wednesday at the sixth scientific conference of Cihan University – Erbil under the supervision and presence of Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil.
At the conference where the assistants, department heads, and students attended the topics, the students talked about the problems, goals, assumptions, and methods used in their research. They also discussed the methods and examples of their research, and finally, they presented the research results scientifically, with each study covering many new scientific points and sections in a way that was attended by teachers, researchers, and students.
During the conference’s closing ceremony, several speeches were given. In this context, Dr. Samrand Amini, the conference’s chairman of the scientific committee, began by congratulating the students before summarizing the findings and suggestions. He stated that certain student research projects should be published in prestigious international scientific journals because they have raised significant issues, expanded on previous findings, and advanced their fields. It was critical to learn from the errors and shortfalls of subsequent conferences to improve.
Subsequently, Cihan University-Erbil President Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al- Delawi gave a speech. He congratulated the final stage students, particularly those whose projects were accepted for the conference, and stated that it was true that this research would mark the start of their scientific career. The president of Cihan University-Erbil devoted another portion of his speech to the value of scientific research and its role in society after expressing his satisfaction with the conference’s outcomes and clarifying that while there were some shortcomings, overall, the conference’s positive aspects outweighed its negative aspects. He stated that with the evolution of civilization, “individual research is no longer common in today’s day; instead, scientific study is undertaken in groups, and because of the integration and necessity of science, each researcher is working on a portion of the research.
“Some of the research presented at the conference will be published in the journals of Cihan University-Erbil,” said the university’s president about the study of student graduation. “The university’s magazines are international magazines with some special characteristics and are moving towards being registered in Scopus.”
After his speech, Prof. Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University -Erbil, expressed gratitude to the various committees involved in organizing and managing the conference, the chancellor, the heads of the scientific departments, and the supervisors of the students. He also reaffirmed the university’s support for students to complete their higher education and conduct original research.
For the sixth conference, 267 senior students’ researches were presented to the conference’s scientific committee. As a result, (58) scientific research were approved, and in the final two days, research on eight different topics by students was offered. Cihan University-Erbil operates this annual scientific conference for outstanding research of -stage students, in line with the strategic framework of interest in scientific research and supporting teachers and researchers.
