Cihan University-Erbil ranks the first among private universities in the latest WebScience (WoS) citation rankings

In the latest version of the InCites_Web of Science (WoS) citation ranking for universities worldwide for 2022, Cihan University-Erbil, not only still ranked the first among private universities, but also at the level of public and private universities in Kurdistan and Iraq it has gained significant scientific progress.

In recent days, WebScience (WoS) published the latest ranking of universities in the world for the year 2022. According to the new ranking, Cihan University-Erbil remains in the first place among private universities in the Kurdistan Region. It also ranked third among all public and private universities in the Kurdistan Region, which is one place ahead of the previous version. Among all universities in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, which are 122 universities, Cihan University-Erbil ranked 15th.

According to the ranking, Cihan University-Erbil has been able to register 205 documents in WoS-indexed in one year. Thus, it could collect 526 citations. As a result, Cihan University-Erbil was competent enough to gather the most influential factors.
