DESCRIPTION

The Department of Informatics and Software Engineering (ISE) is part of the Faculty
of Engineering at Cihan University–Erbil. The department was established in 2021. Research
within the department is conducted by faculty members in diverse areas, including artificial

intelligence, neural networks, IoT, gaming, robotics, cybersecurity, data management, data
analysis, data visualization, data mining, and computer networks.

VISION

The vision of the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering is to prepare
qualified programmers. Additionally, it supports scientific research and provides technical advice
in the field. It also aims to produce innovative leaders in software engineering through their work
in software development across a myriad of application areas, as well as through advanced study
and research.

MISSION

The mission of the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering is to develop,
implement, and manage information systems and software solutions that solve complex problems
and meet the needs of individuals, organizations, and society. This involves creating software that
is robust, secure, and resilient to potential threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.
It is also committed to enhancing user experience and providing tools and systems that enable
data-driven decision-making, helping individuals and organizations make informed choices based
on data analysis and interpretation.
