Department of Computer Science installs the new version of a software

Department of Computer Science, Cihan University-Eril updates all the installed software by new and legal versions. To solve lots of problems that usually happens because of illegal copies of the software, the department of Computer Science has decided to buy the legal versions of software like Microsoft Windows, Microsoft office, and many programing packages like C++, C#, Basic, Python, MATLAB, etc.

The main and most important software which is used in all labs and computers of the department and the University is Microsoft Windows. If the Window is not legal, the installed applications on the system will not always work well. So, the department of Computer Science has put it as the priority to install the legal version of windows, version 10 and 11, in all labs of the departments and the University.

Kurdistan Regional Government in 2012 passed its own Copyright Law to protect copyright in Kurdistan Independent Region (Region Law No. (17) of 2012), so consequently Cihan University-Erbil has pursued this law by using legal versions of applications and softwares used in the University labs.
