The Council of Cihan University – Erbil holds its meeting per the preventive measures taken by KRG-Iraq to protect from the Novel COVID-19
On 4/4/2020, the Council of Cihan University-Erbil headed by Dr.Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi held a session through a video conference and by using (Hangouts Meet) application within the framework of the preventive measures committed by Cihan university- Erbil.
The meeting lasted for two hours and was attended by all the members of the Council aimed to discuss implementing and activating the E-Learning system.
As a result, the Council decided on a continuation of the weekly timetable for each department at Cihan University – Erbil, provided that the lectures start from 9:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M for both morning and evening studies.
Furthermore, the Council discussed the mechanism of performing the second-semester exams, )theoretical& practical( and that each scientific specialty will decide its mechanism.
Cihan University – Erbil is keen to follow students scientifically and ensure the continuity of the scientific curricula. For that reason, It was decided to form a higher committee at the university level headed by Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi to supervise the activation of the system as well as the formation of secondary committees headed by department heads in the scientific departments to follow up students and professors.
It is worth mentioning that Cihan University – Erbil has activated the electronic communication system (Learning Management System) and (Moodle) in all joints of the university teaching, education, and management since the beginning of the current academic year according to the Bologna process.
The university has completed all of its E-Learning preparations, and this, in turn, facilitates the university’s work with extensive and rapid steps in electronic communication with students to ensure the right of our dear students this year. At the same time, following health and safety instructions to stay at home after the approval of the KRG Ministry of higher education and scientific researches.
