The Department of Physiotherapy was established in 2017 within the College of Health Technology at Cihan University-Erbil. It puts a strong emphasis on improving the general quality of life, injury prevention, and treatment, and promoting good health, which are the key areas within the field, as well as engaging in management, consultation, and research activities. The career options for graduates in this field are extensive.

The vision of the Physiotherapy Department is to lead the way in delivering top- quality educational programs and research in physiotherapy. It also aims to provide a creative and innovative approach to education that enhances human health and quality of life by utilizing cutting-edge technology to produce knowledgeable and ethically-minded professionals.
