Holding an Event on the Occasion of the International Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an activity was held for female students of Computer Science Department in Cihan University – Erbil. This event, which focused on the role of women in the society, was held on Monday, March 8, 2021 in the Techno Park located in building 9.
During this event, lecturers talked about the importance of remembering March 8th as a historic day in the women’s rights movement and honoring women achievements. The vital role of women in the society, whether in the family or workplace, and especially their contributions to the society as women in Computer Science field were the main focuses of these talks.
Running businesses by women and efforts to build independent personality were discussed between lecturers and students during the talks. Students asked their questions on how to put their ideas into practice and how to overcome the obstacles on their way towards success.
Holding special workshops on launching a startup and analyzing all the requirements for starting a small business was among the main suggestions for upcoming activities.
At the end of this event, female lecturers and students from different levels in Computer Science department took photos to commemorate this day.
