In Poland; President of Cihan University-Erbil meets with the President of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland
To expand and strengthen scientific relations with esteemed and top universities of the world, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, visited Poland and began his meetings in that country.
The delegation of Cihan University-Erbil, which includes Asst. Prof. Dr. Maysoon Al-Haydari, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Dr. Salih Mustafa Salih Zebari, Director of International Relations Office who accompanied Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, made their first visit on Monday, May 8th, 2023 with Michal Jerzy Zasada, President of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Marta Mendel, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Dr. Katarzyna Specjalska, Head of the International Relations Office of the University of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland. The meeting attendees discussed how to strengthen scientific and academic relations between Cihan University-Erbil and Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland. They especially emphasized continuing to implement the points of the joint agreement.
After the delegation was warmly welcomed by the President of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland, the delegation discussed the case of sending another round of students to the university to participate in the summer courses, which are scheduled to start in the near future at Warsaw University. They discussed conducting joint research and a joint conference in the next academic year. in another part of the meeting. They also considered the exchange of academic staff, as well as the visit of Polish University staff to Cihan University-Erbil, or their employment as the academic staff of Cihan University-Erbil.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, expressed his thanks to the President of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland, and reaffirmed the support of the Presidency of Cihan University-Erbil for the implementation of the proposals and programs. He stated that it was an honor for them to have an agreement with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland. Dr. Amjad added that the agreement had been fruitful for both universities as it was in former times.
