Participation of Cihan University-Erbil in the International Competition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

A group of Cihan University – Erbil students, under the supervision of Dr. Merza Hamza (a professor from the Biomedical Sciences Department, Cihan University-Erbil), participates in the Arab Toxicology Knights Cup Competition held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 4 – 8 December 2022. The international competition includes 26 universities from various Arab countries such as Iraq, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, Bahrain, and the Sultanate of Oman.

The student team participated in the conference on research specialization in toxicology and attended workshops held alongside the conference. The competition seeks to spread the concept of joint professional and academic health work in addition to discussing toxicological methods in medical specialization to raise awareness among health workers. The competition also aims to strengthen relations between the participating universities in research in the toxicological area of specialization. The most prominent modern technologies in the fields of pharmaceutical care and toxicity assessment are highlighted in addition to artificial intelligence in the field of drug toxicity.
