The Biomedical Sciences Department, Cihan University-Erbil Initiated a Charity Event and Food Baskets Distribution

The Biomedical Sciences Department contributed to improving the availability and access to food for needy people through its charity event held at Cihan University-Erbil on 31 March 2022. The charity event was carried out by a group of first-stage students under the supervision of their Head of the Biomedical Sciences Department, Dr. Ali M. Hussein.

This event which began early morning involved the selling of a variety of delicious Kurdish dishes including sweets, desserts, appetizers, and drinks. On this day, the organizing committee members were pleased to see the active participation and support given by a number of staff and students from various faculties and programmes. There were also staff and students who made monetary donations to this event, as this event welcomed a monetary donation.

This charity event was aimed at providing Ramadan food baskets to underprivileged families through the amount of money collected. The goal of this humanitarian activity has been accomplished in that the Ramadan food baskets distribution has begun and is in progress to make a difference in the life of impoverished communities.
