The Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis organized a scientific visit to the laboratory of Erbil International Hospital

On May 10, 2023 (Wednesday). the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis organized a scientific visit to the laboratory of Erbil International Hospital for its first-year students under the supervision of Miss. Sawen Tahseen Taha and Mr. Abdullah Mushir Hadi.

The laboratory supervisors provided in-depth explanations to the students about the types of equipment used in the laboratory and for the laboratory tests. Through this visit, the students also received information about how to enter the sample into the device and how to analyze the results for different tests such as the General blood test, Hormonal test, Clinical chemistry test, Blood bank test, and Immunology test, culturing, and microscopic examination.

The students were also introduced to the devices available in the laboratory such as  Maglumi X3 Snibe, Alegria, Biomerieux Vitek 2 Compact, Cobas C 311, Cobas C 501, Cobas e 411, and CBC.

The visit achieved its goal of having students gain experience dealing with patients in scientific life in the laboratory.
