The Department of Translation at Cihan University-Erbil Organized a Scientific Trip to the Edwina Educational Institute

On November 12, 2023, the Department of Translation at Cihan University-Erbil organized an informative scientific trip to the Edwina Educational Institute. Engaging in this scholarly endeavor were students from the second-stage, diligently guided by Assistant Lecturer Imad Al-Din Majed, from the Translation Department.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Ms. Aya Muhammad, the Marketing Director, and Mr. Amin Abdullah, a lecturer at the Edwina Institute. During the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore the various departments of the institute and interact with both teachers and students. Ms. Aya shared her valuable experiences in the fields of translation and teaching the English language with the students. Additionally, Mr. Amin engaged the students in a paper game, introducing them to the latest techniques and strategies for language instruction within educational courses.

Following these informative sessions, the students actively participated in verbal and listening activities designed to enhance conversational skills among peers. This hands-on approach is part of the ongoing efforts by the Translation Department at Cihan University-Erbil to bridge the gap between education and the job market.
