The opening of the Cihan University Football Championship

Within the sports activities of Cihan University-Erbil the University’s football championship started up between the various University teams and with the sponsorship of DMK Cosmetics company.  The championship was inaugurated in the presence of the championship’s general supervisor, under the supervision of Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawod from Department of Business Administration, Dr. Zhyan Jama from Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and a number of professors from different departments.

The opening match was held between two teams, namely Department of English students against the Department of Community Health students. The second match finished with a triumphant victory of the Department of Community Health over Department of English with a score of 1 goal -0 goal respectively.  The match was challenging to all players and it was a wonderful game that teaches attentiveness, collaboration, and team works efforts.

. As for the second match, it was between the Computer Department team and the Translation Department team, and the outcome was a penalty shootout victory with three goals in favor of the Computer Department, against two goals in favor of the Translation Department. Note that the two matches were characterized by manly play and strong competition, and it is noteworthy that the joint cooperation between the two departments was productive in order to work on the success of the championship.
