The teaching training course for The Ministry of Education’s teachers has started at Cihan University- Erbil
According to the agreement between Cihan University-Erbil and the Ministry of Education of Kurdistan Region, the Course of Teaching (Pedagogy) has started for 150 teachers at Cihan University Erbil.
At the opening ceremony, which was held today Sunday (14/8/2022) at the VIP Hall of Cihan University Erbil, professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalawi, president of Cihan University Erbil, and Professor Burhan Argoshi, advisor to the Ministry of Education, were presented.
In this context, professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalaw, after welcoming the guests, said: “Cihan University Erbil considers itself happy and honorable, because of participating in an important national process today and educating pedagogical courses for teachers, that is an active class of our community.”
In another part of his speech, the president of Cihan University Erbil presented teachers with a summary of the history of employment, structure, and how Cihan University Erbil has developed in terms of quantity and quality.
He also mentioned that education and higher education are related, they complement each other, so if education is a good product, we can develop our abilities in the right direction in universities.The foundation for human empowerment is that the university complements this path within four years.
Regarding the role of teachers in the Ministry of Education, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalawi said: “You have a great role and influence in the education process, but we need to know that the certificate is not the end of the learning process, but continuous learning is one of the processes.” In the world’s academic and educational centers, they pay great attention to it, so we have done it in the past and have carried out some joint programs, this time with the program approved by the Ministry of Education, which we want to carry out a national duty.

The president of Cihan University Erbil devoted another part of his speech to the cooperation and activities they have presented to other ministries in the past, particularly the Ministry of Peshmerga, Endowments and Religious Affairs, Health, and Iraqi-level ministries (planning, business, integrity committees) and lawyers.
In another part of the ceremony, Mr. Burhan Argushi, advisor to the Ministry of Education, represented by Education Minister Dr. Alan Hama-Saeed, delivered a speech after thanking the President of Cihan University-Erbil. He discussed the importance of education and the role of teachers in the development and education of future generations, as well as the importance of courses and the development of teachers’ ability to improve the course of science in education centers and educate students with modern science and innovation.
In another part of his speech, a representative of the Minister of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government praised the continued work, and cooperation of Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajgir and Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalawi, President of Cihan University Erbil in supporting the education process and providing skilled teachers to the education centers.
Then, the course’s work program was started by the skilled and talented lecturers of Cihan University Erbil practically for some teachers of the Ministry of Education for six weeks.
