Final Day of the Youth Leadership Forum Held at the University of Sharjah
The fourth and final day of the forum featured a series of lectures and workshops that focused on developing leadership skills, diplomacy, and soft skills. The day also included a student recognition session, adding a distinguished touch to the event’s conclusion.
The final day’s activities began with an exceptional lecture titled “Leadership and Diplomacy,” delivered by Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa El-Sharif, Deputy Director of the Institute for Leadership Development. The lecture covered essential topics, including etiquette, protocol, and official ceremonies, highlighting their significance in professional and diplomatic settings. It also emphasized the importance of adhering to formal attire at various events and selecting appropriate dress codes for each occasion. Additionally, the session discussed diplomatic interactions and effective communication in formal environments, providing practical examples from global diplomatic experiences.
Following the lecture, Mr. Abdel-Hay Alami conducted an interactive workshop titled “Soft Skills: From Abstract Concept to Practical Leadership.” The workshop emphasized the role of soft skills in leadership and communication, including writing, drawing, and delivering presentations. It also covered professional techniques for delivering engaging presentations that effectively convey ideas. Furthermore, the session included practical exercises on influencing and persuading through body language and voice modulation.
At the end of the forum, a closing session honored the participating students and distributed certificates of appreciation in recognition of their active engagement in the forum’s activities. During this session, Cihan University – Erbil presented commemorative shields to the University of Sharjah and the Association of Arab Universities, acknowledging their significant efforts in organizing this impactful training program and their leadership in supporting and empowering youth in leadership and professional development.
