Medical Laboratory Analysis Department Students Deliver Awareness Presentation and Blood Group Testing Activity at Kurdistan High School
As part of community-based educational activities, second stage students from the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis conducted a school outreach visit to Kurdistan High School on Sunday 8/2/2026. The visit aimed to promote health awareness among school students through an informative presentation combined with a simple, supervised practical demonstration related to laboratory testing.
The visiting team was welcomed by Ms. Sarah Abdulkarim, the principal of the schooland the school staff, who facilitated the session and provided an appropriate environment for the activity. During the visit, the students delivered an educational presentation designed to introduce key concepts in basic laboratory medicine in a clear and engaging way. Following the presentation, the team organized a blood group testing activity to help students understand the idea of blood grouping and its importance in healthcare.
The practical component was conducted in an interactive manner, with step-by-step guidance provided throughout the activity to ensure that students could follow the procedure safely and correctly. The session encouraged participation and discussion, allowing students to ask questions and connect the information to real-life health contexts. The activity also highlighted the importance of awareness, responsibility, and accuracy when dealing with laboratory-based procedures.
