Lecturer from Cihan University–Erbil Concludes Participation in International Cervical Cancer Training Program in China

On Saturday, August 15, 2026, assistant lecturer Sally Khalil Baqer, a faculty member in the Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis at Cihan University–Erbil, concluded her participation in the international training program on Cervical Cancer Screening, Early Diagnosis, and Treatment for Developing Countries, held in the People’s Republic of China. The program brought together specialists and trainees from several countries.
The final day of the program featured an official closing ceremony attended by the organizers and international participants, including Yang Liu from the International Exchange and Cooperation Center. The ceremony highlighted the main scientific activities, training sessions, and field visits conducted throughout the program.
Participants from Kazakhstan, The Gambia, Egypt, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and South Africa took part in the program, creating an important opportunity for scientific communication and the exchange of knowledge and experiences in cervical cancer screening, prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment.
Throughout the program, participants attended a series of scientific lectures and training sessions and visited specialized medical institutions and centers. These activities provided valuable exposure to current approaches, technologies, and practices in cervical cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment.
