The students of The Media Department become familiar with the printing press and how to print
To know how the newspapers and the publications are printed, the media department’s leadership organized a science trip for second-stage students.
On Sunday, 6/2/2022, assistant lecturer Hemin Amin Shwani supervised the second-stage students from the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil to visit the Shahab Printing House in Erbil.
When the students arrived at the printing house, they were welcomed warmly by Mr.Soran Abdul-Rahman, the owner of the Shahab printing house, and then gave the students a summary of their printing house and the history of their employment at another visiting station. By Soran Abdulrahman, they visited the printing house in a way that became familiar with the steps of the printing house’s work, such as how to determine the size of newspapers and publications, giving and organizing the color system of publications, and how to print to write and cut. The newspapers and the publications and their preparations for the market and publication.
In the other part of his speech, the owner of the Shahab Printing House talked about the types of printing machines in Kurdistan and Iraq. He explained that it is gratifying that in the Kurdistan Region, the printing field has taken many steps now, and the ability of printing houses to be at a high level and the ability to print the highest number in the shortest time has the highest quality.
At the end of his speech, Soran Abdulrahman, a student in the media department of Cihan University-Erbil, said: “Our printing house door is always open to students, especially for students who want to work in their printing house, and we will fully support you.”
Finally, the assistant lecturer, Hemin Amin Shwani, the head of the Media department and Cihan University- Erbil, thanked the directors and supervisors of the Shahab Printing House for their leadership and clarification, and he thanked them for their support, especially for the initiatives they presented to the students.
