Two international workshops have been held at Cihan University-Erbil to discuss how to broaden the educational opportunities available to Iraq’s underprivileged youth
With the participation of university delegates during the previous two days (Maastricht University in the Netherlands, Luminus College in Jordan, Fallujah University in Iraq, and Almansor College in Iraq) the project to strengthen education and establish underprivileged young people in Iraq through hybrid education and hypothetical education was the topic of two international seminars that Cihan University Erbil organized.
In this regard, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, the first workshop was organized, during which he discussed the (TOT) Handbook project training drafting.
The most crucial purpose of preparing the ToT for Iraqi youth is to discuss the work, along with a general view of the skills learned about mixed and hypothetical training, with writing and providing the necessary instructions for raising the skills of current and future teachers.
The second workshop, which was held on Wednesday (14/12/2022), was dedicated to planning events for this purpose, and the attendees discussed it intensively.The purpose of it is to face problems, particularly during merged education, as it was emphasized that teachers’ staff had developed skills in mixed education and improvisation.
It makes university education more reliable to ensure that young people do not remain weak. Attendees visited Cihan University Erbil’s president, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalawi after the workshop day ended. In a meeting, the university president thanked the guests for their work and programs to serve the youth class.
Additionally, he stated that Cihan University-Erbil was constantly interested in finding new ways to assist various social strata, particularly the underprivileged ones.Moreover, he noted that this initiative is one of the significant projects, and Cihan University Erbil is pleased to carry it out.
Two international workshops are being held at Cihan University Erbil to complete the project, which was initiated in February 2021 and has been given a budget of 375,000 Euros by NUFFIC.
In these two international workshops, Dr. Amina Sabah Mahmud, head of the Department of Medical Microbiology, and Assistant Lecturer Mohammad Hussein Bajalan participated at Cihan University Erbil, as well as at Maastricht University, Netherlands, Professor Joyce Grull and Mohammed Meziani attended Luminus College, Jordan.
