Cihan University-Erbil Night Festival: A Hub for Entrepreneurship, Artistic Innovation, Competitions, and Entertainment
The Cihan University-Erbil Night Festival continues to present its diverse activities, featuring handicrafts and the products of companies and restaurants, alongside various artistic segments, competitions organized for participants and visitors.
Attended by artists, talents, and graduates, this festival has fostered an atmosphere full of artistic enthusiasm for Erbil’s nights and visitors, adding an aesthetic dimension to the event.
In this context, during the previous nights, two talented graduates of Cihan University-Erbil, namely Zhikar Amir and Zeravan Tamo, participated in the festival with an artistic and literary session. These two young artists and poets enhanced the beauty of the festival by reciting several poems and presenting artistic works, showcasing the innovation of University Students and graduates in cultural fields. Such activities are considered a way to revitalize talents and maintain the connection between graduates and their university.
Welcoming hundreds of citizens from various social segments every night, the festival has become an important station for the fusion of society and the university. This artistic and social atmosphere has encouraged families and youth to visit the Cihan University-Erbil campus with great enthusiasm, fulfilling the university’s primary goal of openness to the market and the public and creating a balanced social System.
It is planned that the festival will continue in the coming nights with a range of other diverse activities, including the screening of documentary films produced as student projects, entertainment competitions, poetry and literary evenings with graduates, and Kurdish film screenings. Additionally, entertainment activities such as PlayStation tournaments, along with the distribution of prizes to winners, will be part of the upcoming segments, adding further excitement to the festival.
The Cihan University-Erbil Night Festival was opened on the evening of Thursday, August 27, 2026, by Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, and Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajger, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities and Institutes. This public event will continue for 10 nights, serving as a significant opportunity for entertainment and the promotion of local products for University Students, graduates, citizens, and various companies and institutions.
