Cihan University-Erbil Students Explore Italy’s Cultural and Historical Sites during Easter
While studying in Poland, a group of students from Cihan University-Erbil seized the opportunity to visit Italy, where they explored the country’s rich culture and history. During their trip, they visited several cultural and historical sites during Easter celebration there.
The group included Lavin Walid Birawmer from the Nutrition and Dietetics Department, Mays Louay Qasim from the Medical Biochemical Analysis Department, and Mina Hussein Karim, Vine Khalil Mirza, and Meni Saleh Suleiman from the Biomedical Science Department. These students, currently enrolled in courses at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, traveled to Milan, Italy. There, they visited the Duomo di Milano, a renowned cathedral celebrated for its intricate architecture. The students were excited about the cathedral’s elaborate design and historical significance.
Continuing their cultural exploration, the students proceeded to Rome, where they toured the Colosseum, a monumental symbol of the grandeur of the Roman Empire. They delved into the historical context of the site, gaining insights into the events and societal structures of ancient times.
Throughout their travels, the students engaged with local residents, sampled traditional Italian cuisine, and observed daily life in Italy. This firsthand experience provided them with a deeper understanding of European cultural practices and social norms, enriching their academic and personal development.
Their visit coincided with the Easter celebrations, allowing them to witness and partake in the festive customs unique to Italy during this period. This cultural immersion complemented their scientific studies, offering a holistic educational experience that bridged academic learning with real-world cultural exposure.
