Faculty Members from the Departments of Business Administration and Law Visit Various Institutions and Scientific Centers in the People’s Republic of China

As part of an international academic training programme in the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Omar Zubair Zahir, Head of the Department of Law and International Relations, and Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University-Erbil participated in a series of field visits to specialised scientific, industrial, and cultural institutions on Saturday, 18 July 2026.
Science & Technology Exchange Center
The first visit was to the Science & Technology Exchange Center in Emeishan, where the delegation was warmly welcomed by Ms. Mary Pu, a representative of the centre’s management. She provided a comprehensive overview of the centre’s role in supporting scientific research, promoting international academic collaboration, and fostering innovation through its advanced laboratories and technology transfer programmes.
The visit also included a guided tour of the scientific gardens, where Ms. Pu explained the ecological significance of several botanical species, including Caryota urens and Cycas revoluta. She highlighted their importance in environmental education, biodiversity conservation, and scientific research.
Nongfu Spring Factory
The second visit took the faculty members to the renowned Nongfu Spring Factory in Emeishan, where they were welcomed by Ms. He Min. She delivered a detailed presentation on the factory’s history and operations. Established in 2016, the facility specialises in the production of natural spring water and a wide range of beverages.
During the visit, the delegation learned that the factory’s fully automated production lines have a production capacity of approximately 54,000 bottles per hour. They observed each stage of the manufacturing process, from collecting water at protected natural sources to purification, bottling, packaging, quality control, and distribution. The delegation also toured the company’s exhibition hall, where they explored its diverse product range and learned about the natural water sources used throughout China.
Mt. Emei Museum
The day’s programme concluded with a visit to the Mt. Emei Museum. The delegation toured several galleries, gaining valuable insights into the history, geography, and rich cultural heritage of Mount Emei, a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site.The exhibits showcased the mountain’s remarkable biodiversity, geological evolution, religious significance, and its important role in Chinese history and environmental conservation. The visit concluded with a cinematic presentation highlighting the area’s breathtaking landscapes and cultural heritage, further illustrating why Mount Emei is regarded as one of China’s most significant cultural and tourist destinations.
