DESCRIPTION
Established at the time Cihan University-Erbil was founded in 2007; it is one of the oldest departments at Cihan University-Erbil. Both morning and evening classes were initially conducted by the department until the decision was made by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to cancel evening studies across the region. High school students are accepted to study in this department, where the duration of study is five years.
VISION
The Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil aims to be at the forefront of law faculties in the Kurdistan Region and globally by providing a high-quality education and contributing to the development of academic and scientific research.
MISSION
The mission of the Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil is to produce capable future lawyers by providing excellent education delivered by professional academic staff. This will enable graduates to become influential advocates in their communities and actively promote legal awareness in society by educating the public about their rights and obligations. To achieve this, students are trained through the department’s moot court, where they gain practical experience in applying laws.
