ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The (Strong Bones for Life: Osteoporosis Awareness ) Workshop, organized by the Department of Radiological Imaging Technologies at Cihan University–Erbil, aims to raise awareness about osteoporosis and highlight the essential role of medical imaging in its early detection and prevention. This workshop will focus on risk factors, diagnostic approaches—especially DEXA scanning as the gold standard—and evidence-based strategies for prevention and management, including lifestyle modification, nutrition, exercise, and appropriate medical intervention.
