The ceremony, held at the Cihan University-Erbil Conference Hall, commenced with a minute of silence to honor the martyrs and followed by the national anthem, “Ay Raqib.” This was followed by several keynote addresses. Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi initiated the speeches by commending the participating teachers and highlighting Cihan University-Erbil’s four-year steadfast commitment to its strategic agreement with the Ministry of Education. He emphasized that educators must never remain stagnant but should continuously enhance their skills, as teaching is a profound responsibility tasked with shaping the nation’s future. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Delawi proposed a strategic initiative to the Ministry: “The teacher preparation process should be structured in a way that after graduating from college, candidates complete a one-year professional diploma specializing in education and teaching methodologies before entering the classroom as fully qualified professionals.” He concluded his speech by thanking the Minister of Education and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for their support in making this national scientific project a success.
Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajger, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, addressed the rapid scientific advancements and the necessity for teachers to become proficient in technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
