A Group of Students from the Radiological Imaging Technology Department Completes an Advanced Training Course in X-Ray Equipment Techniques

The Radiological Imaging Technology Department at Cihan University – Erbil is committed to enhancing students’ practical skills and equipping them with the knowledge necessary for successful entry into the job market. In this context, a group of third-year students has completed an advanced training course in X-ray equipment techniques. Conducted in collaboration with Erbil International Hospital from October 10 to November 10, 2024, the course was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Naveed Abdul-Kareem.

This program provided students with comprehensive training on using X-ray equipment efficiently and safely. Students received intensive lessons on essential protocols and operational procedures for setting up and operating the equipment, ensuring imaging accuracy and patient safety. The course included practical training on techniques for minimizing radiation exposure for patients, as well as advanced methods for producing clear and detailed radiographic images.

Additionally, the program emphasized the development of professional communication skills, training students to interact effectively with patients and other medical team members. This focus aimed to enhance the quality of medical services provided and to improve flexibility in responding to emergency situations.

At the conclusion of the course, a certificate distribution ceremony was held at Erbil International Hospital, where students received participation certificates in recognition of their dedication and commitment throughout the training. The hospital commended the students’ level of competency and highlighted the importance of such courses in refining their skills and enhancing their professional capabilities, better preparing them for the demands of the medical imaging field.
