A Scientific Visit to Sardam Hospital Organized by the Department of Anesthesia Techniques Students
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at Cihan University – Erbil organized a scientific and practical field visit to Sardam Hospital for its first-year students. The visit was held under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Amin Sarmad Qasim and in coordination with the hospital’s chief nurse and Fahmi Farouq Karim, a senior staff nurse. It featured a comprehensive educational program consisting of two main components.
In the first part of the program, Rabar Asaad Saleh, a staff nurse from the Emergency Unit at the Nursing Department, delivered a hands-on practical lecture on the fundamentals of managing emergency cases and the initial procedures for patient resuscitation. This session included practical training on essential skills frequently utilized in the emergency setting.
The second part of the program was led by Miran Nazim Mohammed, a radiology technician from the Radiology Department, who delivered an applied scientific lecture on the use of the hospital’s state-of-the-art medical imaging technologies. He also provided a detailed practical demonstration of how to interact with patients during radiological examinations, emphasizing precision, safety, and patient comfort.
At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the hospital administration and medical staff for their efforts in achieving the intended educational objectives of the visit.
