A Scientific Visit to Trust International Islamic Bank
On April 21, 2021- the Department of Business Administration organized a scientific visit for the fourth year students to the Trust International Islamic Bank that is located in Ainkawa, Erbil under the supervision of the Assistant Lecturer Bushra Ali and in the presence of the Lecturer Sahar Jalal Fattah and the Assistant Lecturer Firas Nooraldeen Mardan.
During the visit, Ms. Shahnaz Muhammad Noor, the Director of the bank of Erbil branch explained the mechanisms of the bank’s activities comprehensively. She gave the students detailed explanations of the bank’s services, including opening new accounts of all kinds, the possibility of selling gold bullion issued by the Central Bank of Iraq, issuing transfers, issuing transfers and letters of guarantee, approving certified checks, receiving savings and deposits, financing small and medium enterprises at the initiative of the Central Bank of Iraq and issuing documentary credits. She also illustrated about the deposit of clearing instruments with the AHC system and the SWIFT service.
The visit ended by answering many of the students’ questions about the bank’s mechanisms and its relationship with the Central Bank in Baghdad and the services that distinguish this bank from other banks. Moreover, the difference between Islamic banks and other kinds of banks was clarified.
