A Student from Cihan University-Erbil Delivered a Presentation on Iraq’s Climate at the Iraqi Embassy in Poland
On Friday, January 24, 2025, Hajar Mohammed Ali, a student from Cihan University-Erbil, presented insights on Iraq’s climate at a seminar held at the Iraqi Embassy in Poland. Part of her course at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, where she studies physiotherapy, the presentation focused on climate change and its impacts on Iraq, including issues like desertification and drought.
The seminar was attended by Ambassador Ahmad Ali Saadi, Dr. Mohammed Al-Khalqani, Nashuan Hashim, and embassy staff and students. Hajar discussed Iraq’s environmental, social, and economic challenges and encouraged support for youth and organizations working to improve the environment.
At the end of the seminar, the Ambassador and other participants expressed their appreciation for Hajar’s efforts and praised Cihan University-Erbil for its continued support of young people. They also commended the university’s leadership for initiating this important program, which annually selects groups of students to study at universities in Poland and other countries, providing them with valuable experiences and contributing to Iraq’s growth and development.
