A student in the Department of Business Administration Receives Certificate for Successful Completion of Shanghai Customs Course
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, Bilal Ramadan Mustafa, a fourth-year student in the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil, received a certificate after participating in a 14-day training course titled, Rules of Origin for Developing Countries at Shanghai Customs University in Shanghai, China.
During the course, the student participated in several important activities, including attending seminars on key topics such as how developing countries can benefit from international trade, how China manages the export and import of goods using specialized systems that prevent prohibited items from entering or leaving the country, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency at customs checkpoints. The program also highlighted China’s plan to build a railway line to the Kurdistan Region and Iraq to enable the direct transportation of goods.
As part of the program, the organizers arranged visits to several cultural landmarks in Shanghai, including Yu Garden and the Shanghai Tower. Participants also visited various companies and trade centers in Yiwu.
By the end of the course, Bilal Ramadan Mustafa had gained valuable insights into China’s business and customs systems.
