Active Participation of Cihan University-Erbil in the Third Middle East Tourism Expo (METEX) in Erbil

His Excellency Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, officially launched the 3rd Middle East Tourism Expo (METEX 2025) in Erbil on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

A team of representatives from Cihan University-Erbil, which is also a member of the Cihan Group, actively participated in the event by showcasing students’ projects. The team also introduced the vision, goals, academic programs, international partnerships, achievements, and academic standards of Cihan University-Erbil at the regional (Middle East), local (Kurdistan), national (Iraq), and international levels to the visitors. The team received positive feedback, and the visitors showed a genuine interest in Cihan University-Erbil.

METEX 2025, which officially ended on Thursday, May 8, 2025, brought together more than 120 tourism companies and organizations from 20 countries. Higher education and professional training are key drivers of tourism development and international student attraction through research and innovation. Cihan University-Erbil is well-positioned to play a leading role in shaping the future of tourism education and industry in the region.
