Anesthesia Technology Department Students Engaged in a Specialized Training Course for Practical Skill Development
Several students participated in a developmental training course organized in collaboration with the Future Academy for Development and Training as part of efforts to enhance students’ practical skills in the Anesthesia Technology Department at Cihan University-Erbil. The course took place at Dar Al-Hikma Private Hospital in Kirkuk under the sponsorship of the Health Professions Syndicate, providing students with hands-on experience in anesthesia procedures and patient care.
Over the 20-hour training, students engaged in an intensive program that covered the operation of anesthesia machines, the effects and proper dosages of anesthetic drugs, and techniques for patient recovery after surgery. The course also focused on essential equipment in operating rooms and recovery areas, patient record management, and the core skills required for anesthesia technicians in professional healthcare settings.
This course provided students with valuable practical skills in addition to university-organized workshops, strengthening their readiness for the job market. The training concluded with students receiving certificates of participation, recognizing their successful completion of the program and reinforcing the university’s commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world application.
