Architectural Engineering Department Monitors Student Performance During Training

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a follow-up visit under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Lana Shahab Ahmed,  Training Coordinator. The visit focused on evaluating the performance of fifth-year student Paywand Fadhil Mohamad.

During the visit, the student’s project supervisor, Mr. Rekar Zikri Issa, provided a detailed overview of the architectural practices implemented in the project, highlighting material selection, construction sequencing, and design decisions that balance functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. The student demonstrated familiarity with site operations, technical documentation, and the integration of architectural theory with practical application.

Additionally, Assistant Lecturer Lana observed the student’s progress and provided guidance, emphasizing the importance of applying knowledge of materials, spatial planning, and project organization in real-world architectural projects. She noted that the student gained valuable experience in understanding workflow coordination, design execution, and the influence of materials on the overall design concept.

By the end of the visit, the student had developed enhanced skills in interpreting architectural plans, implementing design solutions on-site, and evaluating construction methods, which will strengthen his professional competency and readiness for future projects.
