Architectural Engineering Department Organizes a Scientific Visit to Sarbasti Primary School in Erbil

On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific field visit to Sarbasti Primary School in Erbil for second-year students, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Mays Fahmi Saleem.

The visit was coordinated by the school director, Mr. Zana Najat Ali, who facilitated hosting the students and organizing the exploratory tour. Upon arrival, Ms. Rozhan Ibrahim Khalil, the administrative coordinator, conducted a comprehensive guided tour of the school. The tour began at the main entrances and continued through the administrative departments, educational spaces, dining areas, and indoor playgrounds. All floors of the building were covered, allowing students to observe both horizontal and vertical circulation systems.

During the visit, Mr. Zana Najat Ali provided detailed explanations of the educational spaces, including classrooms and learning areas. The analysis focused on spatial dimensions, layout organization, lighting conditions, circulation zones, ceiling heights, movement flow, and the placement of entrances and exits in relation to user movement and control.
