Before students’ departing for Poland, President of Cihan University-Erbil convened a meeting with students and their families
Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil, expressed the university’s commitment to enhancing the academic and intellectual development of its students. He emphasized that achieving this goal involves the adoption of modern and scientific methods.
This statement was made by the President of Cihan University-Erbil on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, during a special gathering to welcome students and their families who are embarking on a journey to Poland in the coming days. The event took place in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Karim, vice president for Administrative and Student Affairs, as well as the heads of several departments. Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi extended a warm welcome to the families of the students and expressed gratitude for their cooperation and support in the past. He acknowledged their dedication to elevating their children’s academic achievements to an international standard.
The president of Cihan University-Erbil noted that the selected group of students had undergone a rigorous selection process, emerging as nominees among 5260 candidates from Cihan University-Erbil. This selection was based on a set of academic criteria jointly established by our university in collaboration with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland.
In another segment of his address, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi spoke directly to the students, reminding them that, when in Poland, they would be representatives of Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and Cihan University-Erbil. He stressed the importance of upholding ethical, educational, and academic standards. He described this experience as a valuable opportunity, one that should be seized to enhance their academic pursuits, as it would pave the way for further educational achievements.
Concluding the meeting, the Rector instructed the head of the departments to maintain regular communication with the students, ensuring they receive support for both academic and personal matters during their stay in Poland.
