Biomedical Sciences Department Students Attend Drug Awareness Seminar at Paky Hospital

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, third-year students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University-Erbil attended a specialized seminar titled ‘Drug Awareness’ at Paky Hospital. The session was delivered by Mr. Ali Yousef Abd, with the aim of enhancing students’ understanding of pharmacology and safe medical practices.

During the seminar, Mr. Ali Yousef Abd explained the fundamental principles of pharmacology, highlighted standard guidelines for the use and handling of medicines in medical and nursing settings, and reviewed a range of commonly prescribed drugs. He also engaged students in an intensive discussion on over-the-counter (OTC) medications and seasonal treatments, emphasizing their role in patient care.

This academic activity offered students a valuable opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom with its practical application in the healthcare field.
