On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Sara Hashim Sultan, a fourth-stage student from the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University–Erbil, traveled to Saudi Arabia along with a group of students from other departments. They were supervised by Dr. Anas Saadeh Alkhouri as they participated in the Arab Toxicology Competition 2025.
Launched in 2021 during the 2nd International Conference on Toxicology and Pharmacology, the competition is a prestigious regional initiative for healthcare students. What began as a national event with participation from nine Saudi universities has now expanded to include more than 50 universities across the Arab world.
This year, the competition is held as part of the 6th International Conference, Workshops, and Exhibition on Pharmacy and Toxicology (KSAPT), taking place from October 27 to 29, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the Global Health Exhibition and the Global Forensic Excellence Summit (GFEX).
Cihan University–Erbil proudly stands as the only university from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq participating in this prestigious regional competition, continuing its tradition of excellence and active engagement in international scientific events.
