Biomedical Sciences Students Visit Bio Laboratory in Erbil

A group of second-stage students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University–Erbil visited the Bio Laboratory in Erbil on Thursday, October 23, 2025, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Hero Ismael Mohammed.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Miss Lailan Murad Mohammed Ali, the laboratory supervisor, who introduced them to the different sections of the lab. They then visited the Microbiology Section, where Mr. Idres Hamad Aali explained bacterial isolation techniques from various samples and demonstrated the use of the VITEK instrument. He also highlighted the differences between manual and automated diagnostic methods.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Hero Ismael Mohammed expressed her appreciation to Mr. Idres and Miss Lailan for their hospitality and informative explanations, noting that the visit provided the students with valuable practical knowledge and experience that enriched their academic learning.
