On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, second-year students from the Department of Business Administration at Cihan University – Erbil conducted a scientific visit to Alban Dada Factory in Erbil, which specializes in the production of dairy products.
The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir. The students were warmly received by Mr. Tanyas Abubakr, the factory director, who provided them with an overview of the factory’s workflow and accompanied them on a tour of its various departments. During the tour, he introduced the students to departments such as production, administration, accounting, and the laboratory.
Mr. Tanyas later explained that the factory uses two types of milk: fresh milk, which is used to produce yogurt and cream, and milk powder, which is used in making canned yogurt. He also described the factory’s distribution stations in Baghdad and Basra and explained that they use both cow’s milk and goat’s milk in their products. Additionally, he demonstrated how the pH level of yogurt is measured using specialized equipment. During the visit, he added that the factory receives about 25 tons of milk daily in stainless steel tanks, ensures the milk is protected from spoilage, and distributes its products to cities across Iraq.
During the visit, Mr. Saman Abdullah Ahmad, the Administrative Director, discussed the factory’s administrative affairs, including the recruitment of new employees, rewards, and dismissals. He also informed the students that the accounting department uses the Crystal System.
The visit provided an important opportunity for students to have their questions about the factory’s operations answered. The supervising lecturer expressed her gratitude to the factory staff for offering this valuable educational experience.
