Business Administration Department Students Visit Erbil Treasury Directorate

The Department of Business Administration at Cihan University–Erbil organized a field visit for its third-stage students to the Erbil Treasury Directorate on Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The visit was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hevi Mohammed Qadir.

They were warmly received by Mr. Khattab Saber Osman, Director of the Erbil Treasury Directorate. Mr. Aso Karim Aziz, Assistant Director of the Erbil Treasury, provided a detailed explanation of the Directorate’s various departments, including Self-Management, Data and Information, Records, and Auditing.

The visit featured informative presentations by several officials from the directorate. Ms. Shawin Abubakr Mohammed, Head of the Self-Management Department, elaborated on her department’s responsibilities, which include managing employee records such as appraisals, disciplinary actions, retirement, and daily attendance. Furthermore, Mr. Sheet Jamil, Head of the Data and Information Department, discussed his department’s crucial role in recording all daily expenditures for various government directorates.

Additionally, Mr. Govand Faqi Abdullah, Director of the Accounting Department at the headquarters, provided an overview of the specialized Payroll system used by government institutions for auditing expenditures. He explained that the auditing process is meticulously conducted both manually and automatically to ensure accuracy and transparency.
