Cihan University-Erbil and Plymouth University Sign Academic Memorandum of Understanding
In a significant stride towards fostering international academic relations and elevating scientific standards, Cihan University-Erbil and Plymouth University in the United Kingdom have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement, signed by Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, Professor Christopher Fogwill, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and Professor Dafydd Moore, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Plymouth University, underscores the commitment to develop sustained and profound cooperation across various academic domains between the two institutions.
As stipulated in the agreement, emphasis has been placed on collaboration in developing joint degree programs, postgraduate studies, and professional certificates in mutually agreed-upon fields. Concurrently, student exchange between the two universities and the mutual benefits of faculty members’ experiences constitute another key aspect of the agreement. Furthermore, according to the terms of the MOU, both universities will work to expand opportunities for enhancing cultural and academic understanding between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom.
This agreement follows a series of joint meetings involving Professor Dr. Ayad Hazim, Vice President of Cihan University-Erbil for Scientific Affairs; Dr. Salih Mustafa Zebari, Director of the International Relations Office at Cihan University-Erbil; Professor Bogdan Ghita, Associate Dean International, Professor of Network Security, Performance, and Trust, Faculty of Science and Engineering; Dr Shaymaa Al-Jubouri, Lecturer in cybersecurity, School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics (Faculty of Science and Engineering) at Plymouth University. The MOU is set to be a pivotal moment in broadening the scope of scientific and academic relations for Cihan University-Erbil and Plymouth University in the UK.
