Cihan University – Erbil Concludes Its Fourth Pedagogical Training Course for Teachers in the Kurdistan Region

Cihan University – Erbil has recently concluded the activities of its fourth pedagogical training course for teachers and instructors under the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq by administering both theoretical and practical examinations under rigorous standards in a structured environment on September 24, 2025, and September 25, 2025, respectively.

The examinations were administered by Dr. Ahmed Abd Aoun, Head of the Department of General Education, Mr. Nozad Talat, Director of Cihan Academy, and Dr. Sarbaz Aziz, Supervisor of Cihan Academy, who also closely monitored the participants’ performance.

A total of 152 male and female trainees participated in the course after completing a 6-week intensive training program, which lasted 54 hours. The program, which consisted of theoretical lectures and practical applications, focused on enhancing modern teaching skills, effective classroom management, understanding educational psychology, as well as keeping pace with the latest educational technologies and interactive learning methods.

It is worth noting that this pedagogical training course, including three successful courses conducted since 2022, was organized by Cihan University. This initiative was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region as per the signed agreement between the two parties, which aims to enhance the efficiency of teachers and prepare them with the necessary skills for today’s educational challenges.
