Cihan University-Erbil Concludes the 5th Pedagogical Training Course for Kurdistan Ministry of Education Teachers
On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, Cihan University-Erbil concluded the 5th Pedagogical Training Course for teachers from the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region.
The program was jointly organized and supervised by the Department of General Education and Cihan Academy and concluded with a final assessment exam to evaluate the participants’ educational knowledge and acquired skills. Spanning more than six weeks and comprising a total of 54 intensive training hours, the program integrated theoretical and practical components delivered by a group of specialized academic experts and professors. The curriculum focused on essential modules designed to enhance the professional competencies of educators across schools in the region, notably:
- Effective Classroom Management: Strategies for organizing the learning environment and facilitating positive classroom interactions.
- Educational Psychology: Understanding students’ developmental characteristics and implementing psychological support and motivational strategies.
- Artificial Intelligence in Education: Utilizing modern digital tools and AI applications to design lesson plans and personalize learning experiences.
- Modern Teaching Methodologies: Moving from conventional rote learning toward active, inquiry-based, and critical-thinking-driven approaches to education.
The final assessment exam was conducted in a well-organized academic setting to measure participants’ mastery of the modern concepts and practical skills acquired throughout the training.
This initiative is part of an ongoing collaborative partnership between Cihan University-Erbil and the Ministry of Education, reflecting the university’s commitment to community service and its support for the school education sector in the Kurdistan Region through updated pedagogical and technological practices.
