Cihan University-Erbil Conducts Training Course to Enhance Administrative Staff Capacities

Upon the recommendation of Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University-Erbil, and as part of the university presidency’s ongoing efforts to enhance administrative and academic services, Cihan University-Erbil organized a two-day training course for its administrative staff on Wednesday and Thursday, October 22nd and 23rd, 2025.

The course focused on developing staff skills in professional and academic interactions with students and citizens, aiming to provide high-quality services and foster a supportive and conducive environment at the university.

The training was conducted by Mr. Karzan Ali Hammed, University Registrar, who thoroughly highlighted the principles of professional communication, the importance of active listening, and constructive problem-solving methods. He also guided participants on creating a positive and trusting atmosphere, particularly in understanding and responding appropriately and promptly to the diverse needs of students and citizens. Furthermore, Mr. Mohammed emphasized ethics and academic values in all interactions to safeguard the university’s reputation and ensure the delivery of impeccable service.

The course ended with an open discussion and exchange of ideas, during which participants actively engaged. The discussions focused on various challenges staff face when interacting with students and citizens. Mr. Mohammed provided answers to questions and offered valuable guidance on turning these challenges into opportunities to enhance service quality.
